(responsibility for answers)
Bachelor thesis "Cooperative designing
in a self-experiment".
Group project with Kim Heintzen.
Prof. Ursula Zillig, Prof. Annette Geiger,
Prof. Dorothea Mink and Joachim Baldauf.
"Antworten verantworten" (responsibility for answers) by this title, I have teamed up with my good friend Kim to do the bachelor‘s degree. Together we set us out to find answers. Starting from the point of view that as a designer you have the responsibility about what you put out into the world. Not to ignore our values in the process of creating. To look closely at why we create things. There are not always clear answers for us — we are in a process, even now — in which we are seeking a deeper meaning.
"Cooperative designing in a self-experiment" is the subtitle of our project. Also sustainability as a way of working — we have removed ourselves from the normative working model. We have opposed it and defined for ourselves the conditions under which we work. Conditions that do not mean that you naturally exploit yourself. We decided how our work can fit into our lives, into what often gets short besides the bachelor‘s degree. We decided that teamwork for us means being able to say what you think — without appealing to each other‘s egos, and in this way to honestly support each other.
Our result is a collection as well as some photographs and short films.
