All works are fragments;
I am Jonathan, actually Jonathan Valentin Luca Tschaikowski. My work gives me the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the Zeitgeist as part of society.
Curiosity drives me, through it I come to my ideas. I follow different approaches, explore and invent. My communication is universal; with different media — dynamic and hybrid. Multidimensional. Haptic and visual. Fashion design, graphic design and photography are the tools of my expression. All works are fragments; part of a whole. Through my education as a bespoke dressmaker, I have learned that it is significant to stand up for oneself. Fashion is not sustainable, nevertheless I dedicate myself to it (especially in my master studies) and follow my inner voice.
It is important to me to develop an all-encompassing view and to pursue new possibilities through a change of perspectives. I am fascinated by the multiplicity of simultaneity. I love it when the sun touches my skin and warms me. I try to avoid self-exploitation. I am in favor of stopping exploitation of any kind. Expressing criticism without pointing out new possibilities or opportunities does NOT please me. I also do NOT like the waste of resources. Respectful interaction and clear transparent communication are important to me. Questions like: What can and should I do differently in order not to harm my environment through my behavior often occupy me. Working on several things in parallel means freedom and flexibility for me.
I am happy when people appreciate my work. I have fun while working. As a designer, I want to confront and counteract standardized ways of working: to take responsibility, to point out and to inspire. Each work questions the previous one, is a constant transformation that drives me around.
