Lennar works in a gallery. She already made a name for herself as an art connoisseur via Instagram during her studies. She's in her early 30's, proud of her curves. She exercises daily and has a healthy lifestyle.
She comes from a good, privileged home.
Her clothing style is characterized by simplicity, good quality and sophisticated finishing.

Viljam is in his late 20's. He is tall, has a defined body. Otherwise he does not pay much attention to himself. He lives from day to day. He needs money to survive, beyond that it is for dreaming.
Describing his clothes, one quickly thinks of the working class: they are simple, sporty with a slight tendency to fetishism.

Lennar and Viljam know each other from a party. Their relationship is difficult, the worlds they live in are too different. He fights for survival, she for her reputation.

When I'm in a design process, I think specifically about certain people. It's about people from various social orders. It's about milieu and class.
When we talk about class today, we are not only talking about economic issues, but also about different lifestyles and symbolic prestige. Different income levels shape the image of our society.

Lennar and Viljam represent different parts of society, between which there is often a gap. Their story has existed for centuries and is richly reproduced in pop culture.

My examination of fashion and fashion-making is about symbolism, stereotyping, prejudices and the dissolution or mixing of these. It is clothing and looks that are characterized by showing the gap between modern and conservative people. Fashion as a space for the problems of our society and my reaction to them.

Mainline:RUS/Fr.CA/DE fascinates me as a label, as the exploration of social issues and questioning in the design process seems to be a similar one to mine.
Classic garments are interpreted in a new way. A resolution of clothing as it "must be".
Sophisticated, good workmanship as well as deconstuction characterize the collection of your label. Something that appeals to me as a young fashion designer and inspires.
Furthermore, I find it fascinating that you are shaping the zeitgeist with your label and that you are upsetting the fashion world as a collective.

As an intern (Design Assistance/Production/Atelier) I would like to get an insight that would not be possible at a classic, rather conservative house. I want to experience how a young established label like yours works and contributing with my different skills.

I am currently studying at the University of Arts in Bremen in the master's program "Fashion, People and Society". There I already did, after my apprenticeship as a bespoke dressmaker, my bachelor in integrated design with a focus on fashion, photography and graphics.

I would be happy to join and support you for a few months or a season starting now (or at a later date)!
